"We visited USU to see an evaluation of the performance of the center to one of the higher education public bodies, because coincidentally there were several events in North Sumatra in order to achieve more efficiency and effectiveness," he said.

USU PR - Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) received a visit from the Central Information Commission (KIP). The visit took place in the Academic Senate Room of the USU Central Administrative Bureau Building, on Thursday (11/10/2022).

Secretary of the Universitas Sumatera Utara Prof. Dr. dr. M. Fidel Ganis Siregar, M.Ked (OG), SpOG(K) said the purpose of this KIP visit was to monitor evaluation (monev) on information disclosure from North Sumatra regional information makers to USU.

"The extent to which local governments are open to information at USU," he said.

Prof. Fidel also said that after this visit, KIP would provide suggestions to USU.

"Yes, we hope that USU will always be an institution that makes information disclosure to the public well," he concluded.

Chairman of the Central Information Commission of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Ir. Donny Yoesgiantoro, M.M., M.P.A said, in addition to a visit to USU, KIP had conducted hearings and visits to the Governor of North Sumatra, therefore this visit to USU was due to want to see and evaluate the disclosure of information between the local government of North Sumatra to one of the public bodies. College.

The Head of KIP RI explained, in information management there are 5 categories of assessment, namely informative, towards informative, moderately informative, less informative, and not informative.

And USU is included in the informative category as seen from the track record of the assessment because the assessment will later be seen for the truth.

"In this assessment there is no competition and we assess it from the track record, if it goes into informative then we will see the truth," he said.

As well as for those who get quite informative, less informative, and not informative ratings, they will later receive training so that all of them become informative.

"We will invite the assessment that is not informative to the center to be given more training so that in Indonesia this can achieve an informative assessment for information disclosure," said the Chairman of KIP RI. (©ULC)
