“Then there are 12 areas of change that we must do. So, at yesterday's meeting at the leadership meeting in Bandung, we decided that there were 3 things out of 12 that there were changes, including the acceptance of new students, then the learning process and ZI-WBK. Now in the governance process, next year we will also make a work program to improve governance at the University of North Sumatra," said WR II USU.
USU Public Relations - Universitas Sumatera Utara held a Internal Control Coordination Meeting within the university's environment with the theme of “Good University Governance For Transformation Towards The Ultimate”. This meeting was held in Grandhika Hotel on Tuesday, (13/12/2022).
In line with the tagline of Transformation Towards The Ultimate, this event was held with the aim to discuss the management of Universitas Sumatera Utara including improvements and refinements.
In his opening remarks, USU 2nd Vice Rector for Human Resources and Finance Muhammad Arifin Nasution, S.Sos., M.SP explained that there would be three main points out of 12 changes in the USU environment that will be improved in 2023 such as student admissions, the learning process, and the Integrity Zone (development) towards a Corruption Free Area.
"Then there are 12 areas of change that we must do. According to the previous leader's meeting in Bandung, (we) decided 3 things from 12 changes, including student admissions and then the learning process along with the Evaluation of the Integrity Zone Development Towards a Corruption-Free Area (ZI-WBK). In the process of governance, we also have to make a work plan to improve the management at Universitas Sumatera Utara next year," said the 2nd Vice Rector of USU.
Head of USU Internal Control Office Dr. Abdillah Arif Nasution SE, M.Si. Ak, CA, QGIA said that the coordination meeting for supervision within USU, which was held at the end of the year to discuss work plans and the results would then be a reflection for further improvement of USU in the future.
" This meeting is usually held at the end of the year, it's related to our work plan and the results of our yearlong programs so that we could reflect on what happened during the year and improve ourselves in the future," said the Head of the USU Internal Control Agency.
Dr. Abdillah Arif Nasution SE., M.Si. Ak, CA, QGIA hopes that there will be direct action from the entire academic community for future campus improvements. In accordance with the title "Good University Governance For Transformation Towards The Ultimate" and then starting from the regulations proclaimed, USU can be a transparent and accountable educational institution.
"As for the objectives of University Towards the Ultimate, we are trying from our side as the supervisor with the help of Good University Governance so that transparency and accountability can be created," explained the Head of the USU Internal Control Agency.
