The main goal of the group is to deepen the understanding of Indonesian literature and its contribution to global cultural and literary development. In addition, they aim to promote a better appreciation and understanding of the richness of Indonesian literature and culture.

Linguistics in the Indonesian Literature study program studies and examines this language in terms of phonology (sound), morphology (word structure), syntax (sentence structure), and semantics (word meaning). This in-depth understanding of the language helps in better analyzing Indonesian literary works. Sociolinguistic and psycholinguistic aspects are also a major concern. Students understand how Indonesian is used in society, how social and psychological influences language use, and how this language reflects the social and cultural identity of a community. The main goal of the group is to deepen the understanding of the Indonesian language, one of the key elements in understanding Indonesian literature. In addition, they aim to promote, preserve, and develop Indonesian language and literature worldwide.
