Philosophy of law is a branch of philosophy that discusses the nature of law, its purpose, why it exists, and why people should be subject to the law. In addition to answering these general abstract questions, legal philosophy also addresses concrete issues regarding the relationship between law and morals (ethics) and the validity of various legal institutions.

Globalization, which occurs due to various factors, also affects the development of a nation. Although it brings positive impacts to countries in the world, including Indonesia, on the other hand, globalization also brings negative impacts in various fields, one of which is the field of law. The intersection between law and globalization as an unavoidable social phenomenon covers various aspects and extends to all regions of the world. When the community has accepted globalization, it then turns into a law that binds the community. To anticipate or minimize the negative impacts arising from the globalization process, various steps can be taken, including being selective about the influence of globalization in all fields, including economy, technology, information, and culture.
