The Specialist Program in Ophthalmology is one of the oldest specialist study programs at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU). Based on a firm competency base, this program aims to produce ophthalmologists capable of providing quality eye healthcare. The educational stages in this study program include learning anatomy, pathology, diagnostics, and ophthalmology.
This study program offers promising career opportunities for graduates and contributes significantly to improving the eye health of Indonesian society. Students who complete this study program will be awarded the Ophthalmology Specialist (Sp.M.) degree.

Concentration
Concentration is a field of specialization that can be chosen by students to deepen specific knowledge and skills in the study program they take. Concentration also helps students to explore specific fields that are of interest and passion to them, thus expanding their horizons and enriching their learning experience.
