17 USU Students Receive Scholarships from YIAK

USU PR - Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) Rector Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si, accompanied by Vice Rector I of Academic, Student Affairs, and Alumni Affairs Dr. Edy Ikhsan, SH, MA, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Yayasan Izzatul Amaliyah of the USU Muslim Alumni Community (YIAK). On Monday (22/05/2023), the ratification of the MOU and the final phase of learning assistance for USU students took place in the Academic Senate Room of the USU Central Administration Bureau Building.
USU Rector Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si stated in his remarks that USU introduced a similar waqf body to North Sumatra students a few days ago.
In addition, the USU Rector congratulated and supported the scholarship recipients designated by the Yayayasan Izzatul Amaliyah. According to the Rector, this scholarship offers several advantages.

Vice Rector I responded favorably to the Yayasan Izzatul Amaliyah's forum for USU students. Dr. Edy Ikhsan, SH, MA, disclosed that this activity would later provide numerous benefits, particularly to the community.
This is a highly beneficial activity for students. The Yayasan Izzatul Amaliyah provides space for our students to participate in waqf, an excellent charitable activity. The development of an activity that has many benefits, particularly for the community," he said.
Dr. Edy Ikhsan, SH, MA, expressed appreciation for the assistance provided by the Izzatul Amaliyah Foundation to seventeen students in their final year of study.
"Furthermore, we are very appreciative to the Yayasan Izzatul Amaliyah for granting 17 students scholarships for their final year of study at the Universitas Sumatera Utara. Yayasan Izzatul Amaliyah will train our children to become a socialization bridge for waqf, which makes us very pleased," he explained.
Ir. Raja Manahan Sitorus, a member of YIAK's Board of Trustees, noted that scholarship selection queries included inquiries about waqf and Islam in order to determine the aptitude of prospective recipients.
YIAK's Board of Trustees explained, "In the selection process, the idea comes first, then their ability in a variety of Islamic knowledge-related areas.
