USU PUBLIC RELATION-MEDAN: The Covid-19 pandemic that has spread for almost a year and a half has created a wide impact on the people of Indonesia. In addition to having an impact on health, the pandemic raises new problems in the economic aspects of the community.
This was stated by the Rector of the Universitas Sumatera Utara, Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., when receiving the Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of State Assets (Kanwil DJKN) North Sumatra in theRector's Meeting Room, Monday (6/28/2021).
"The people's economy has been affected as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak.It takes a quick and appropriate reaction to be able to arouse the people's economic enthusiasm and USU is here to support these efforts," said the USU Rector.
He said, so far USU has done many things in an effort to improve the economy of the people affected by the pandemic through a series of programs by going directly tomeet the community.
"In recent years, USU has tried to touch the community to generate a massive economy, namely through the Tri Dharma of Higher Education toimplement it," he said.
Tedy Syandriadi, Head of the North Sumatra DJKN Regional Office, said that his party would be present at USU to provide socialization to students about state assets.The presence of DJKN as a form of education is togenerate the people's economy.
"So far, there are many hoaxes that have developed regarding the wealth of the country.For that we are present among students to provide enlightenment so that there are no misunderstandings.We have prepared DJKN Goes To Campus within the theme of "Our Money and State Wealth, Awakening the People's Economy" which will be held tomorrow (Tuesday, 29/6/2021-Ed) which is expected to provide information to students," Tedy said.
Muryanto Amin appreciated the socialization plan.According to him, students who come from the millennial generation need detailed and accurate information.In addition, the presence of DJKN willprovide a concrete explanation.
"Students need concrete explanations, they can no longer be filled with manytheories," Muryanto Amin said.
Socialization of state assets is considered important to provide an explanation of state assets.The public must know this to encourage the rise of the people's economy.
