Medan, USU PR – The Indonesian Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes) conducted an on-site accreditation assessment for the Medical Education and Medical Profession Study Program (PSPPD) of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FK USU) on Monday (27/07/2026). The assessment took place in the 3rd Floor Hall of the Faculty of Medicine, USU.
The on-site assessment forms part of the accreditation evaluation process carried out by the team of assessors to ensure the accuracy of the submitted data and the quality of educational implementation within the PSPPD of FK USU.
The event was attended by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Alumni, Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Si., Apt., faculty leaders, lecturers, and the team of assessors led by Chief Assessor Prof. Dr. Drs. H. Kusmardi, M.Biomed., CIRR.
Chief Assessor Prof. Dr. Drs. H. Kusmardi, M.Biomed., CIRR. stated that the assessment reflects the assessors' commitment to carrying out the accreditation process.
"As part of our commitment to accreditation, once we agreed to serve as assessors for this on-site assessment at the Faculty of Medicine, USU, we came with the sincere intention of fulfilling our national duty to support the improvement of accreditation quality," he said.
He also emphasized that the Faculty of Medicine, USU should continue to maintain its enthusiasm for developing its academic programs so they can continue to grow and achieve excellence.
"Most importantly, the Faculty of Medicine, USU must continue to have the spirit to manage and develop its study program so that it continues to grow and become a source of pride," he added.
Prof. Kusmardi further explained that the purpose of the on-site assessment was to validate and verify the data previously submitted by the study program.
"Our visit is solely to validate and verify the accreditation documents that have already been submitted. Therefore, we expect all the information presented to be consistent with the submitted data," he explained.
