USU PR - In order to enliven the 30th Anniversary, the Faculty of Public Health (FKM) of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held an Art Performance (PENSI) activity which was held at the USU Student Center, on Thursday (30/11/2023).

This PENSI was participated in by 8 universities including USU, Sari Mutiara University, North Sumatra Health Institute, Medan Health Polytechnic, Bina Guna Health Sports College, Helvetia Health Institute, North Sumatra State Islamic University, and Hajj University of North Sumatra North Sumatra and Hajj University of North Sumatra. The performances presented ranged from dance offerings performed by various universities in different cultures. There were also singing performances, public speaking, TikTok educational videos, health education videos and Stand Up Comedy.

Through his appreciation speech, the Dean of FKM USU, Prof. Dr. Dra. Ida Yustina M.Si., thanked several universities that participated in enlivening the 30th Anniversary of FKM USU.

The Dean added that FKM USU is ready to participate and collaborate with other universities in enlivening the anniversary activities of other universities, especially those in Medan City.

Prof. Dr. Dra. Ida Yustina M.Si., hopes that FKM USU in the future can be more advanced than what is being achieved now and by USU's vision, especially related to the Rector's priority program.

"Of course, through this anniversary, we hope that FKM USU will be more advanced than what has been achieved in line with the Rector's priority program," said the Dean of FKM USU.

Vice Dean 1 of FKM USU, Dr. Umi Salmah SKM, M.Kes., in her speech said that there were around 60 participants who would compete in this Pensi. Pensi is also a gathering place to see how students can work and innovate.

Dhani Syahputra Bukit SKM, MKM as the Chairperson of the FKM USU Anniversary Committee said that this Pensi is one of a series for the 30th Anniversary of FKM USU which is a collaboration of various public health universities in Medan City. He added that this activity was also a learning event for FKM USU students in organizing and communicating to transfer understanding between fellow students considering that FKM USU students became the committee for this event.

The Chairperson of the FKM USU Anniversary Committee hopes that collaborative events like this can strengthen ukhuwah or friendship between health communities in Medan City.

"The enthusiasm for today's Pensi event is extraordinary, as evidenced by the 800 seats we provided, which came even more than that. All guests and students who attended also really enjoyed the singing and all activities on stage, especially in encouraging their friends who performed," said the Chairman of the FKM USU Anniversary Committee.

For additional information, the peak of the 30th Anniversary of FKM USU will be held on December 19, 2023, which will invite the deans of the university environment and will carry out several other activities.
