Field Assessment of Radiology Study of USU’s FK

USU PR- The Indonesian Institute for Self-Accreditation of Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes) conducted an offline field assessment of the Radiology Study Program, Faculty of Medicine (FK), Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) in the 1st Floor Meeting Room of Faculty of Medicine of USU, Monday (08/05/2023).
On this occasion, the USU Rector, Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos, M.Si. welcomed the arrival of 2 assessor teams, Prof. Dr. Yuyun Yueniwati PW, M. Kes. Sp. Rad(K) from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, State Islamic Universitas Malang, and Dr. Sawitri Damiati, Sp. Rad(K), from the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia, symbolically gives ulos. The USU Rector hopes that the Radiology Study Program can achieve superior accreditation.
"We appreciate the achievements that have been achieved so far by the Radiology Study Program of the Faculty of Medicine USU, and hope that through this assessment activity, the Radiology Study Program can achieve superior accreditation and be able to become one of the best study programs at USU that produce superior resources, skilled and ready-to-use radiologists who are beneficial to humanity and life," said the USU Rector.
In line with that, the Dean of the USU’s Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Aldy Safruddin Rambe, Sp S (K), said he had prepared human resources, documentation, and facilities based on the criteria presented by the assessor team earlier.
"First, we prepare all human resources, and then we also prepare documentation because during this field assessment, the assessor team will see the readiness of human resources, then the completeness of documents, and the completeness of facilities. That's what we have prepared from previous years," said the Dean of FK USU.
The Dean of USU’s Faculty of Medicine USU advised the staff and students of the Radiology Study Program to always update their knowledge and education. This is to boost the number of human resources in Radiology.
Meanwhile, one of the assessors, Prof. Dr. Yuyun Yueniwati PW, M. Kes. Sp. Rad (K) said the assessment process would be carried out thoroughly, starting with human resources, processes, population staff, and also the assessment of students.
"The assessment criteria are all, starting from human resources, processes, population personnel, then we also assess students like their achievements. Lecturers are assessed according to the tri dharma of higher education, their education, community service, and activeness in the field. Students are assessed on their achievements and non-academic activities," he said during the interview.
Later, the assessors will review whether the written data aligns with the reality in the Radiology Study Program of FK USU.
