USU PR : From January 16 to 18, the Indonesian Institute for Self-Accreditation of Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes) conducted a field assessment of the Prosthodontia Specialist Professional Dentist Education Study Program (PPDGS) at the Faculty of Dentistry (FKG), Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU). The opening was conducted in the USU FKG's Nazir Alwi Room.

In his address, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fidel Ganis Siregar M.Ked(OG), Sp. O.G, Subsp. FER, Secretary of the University of North Sumatra, greeted the presence of two assessors from LAM-PTKes, Dr drg Endang Wahyuningtyas, MS, Sp.Pros(K) from Gadjah Mada University and Drg Yulianti Kemal, Sp.

"First and foremost, we would like to express our gratitude and welcome to the Accreditation Assessor Team from the Institute for Self-Accreditation of Health Universities (LAM-PTKes) who have agreed to attend the Field Assessment activities of the Prosthodontics PPDGS Study Program of FKG USU offline, which begins today. This activity takes place from January 16 to 18, 2023, " Prof. Fidel stated.

On this occasion, he stated that the evaluation of the Prosthodontics PPDGS study program intends to capture what has been happening in the USU PPDGS Study Program. The University Secretary expects that the outcomes of this evaluation will elevate the Prosthodontics PPDGS Study Program to the ranks of top accredited study programs. This study program received an "A" or very good accreditation the previous year.

"This behavior is undoubtedly related to the lamptkes assessor's approval to picture what is happening in the USU PPDGS study program. Thus, whatever the outcome is, it is the result of the shooting that has occurred so far. Hopefully for the best ".

In this context, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fidel Ganis Siregar M.Ked (OG), Sp. O.G, Subsp. FER praised the Prosthodontia PPDGS Study Program.

"We applaud the accomplishments made thus far by the Prosthodontics PPDGS Study Program of the USU ECG, which is likely to receive a Superior rating in this evaluation activity. The USU ECG's PPDGS Prosthodontics Study Program has previously been accredited A, "said the University Secretary.

In line with this, Dr. Drg. Endang Wahyuningtyas, MS, Sp. Pros (K), who served as an assessor I, stated that she only photographed the PPDGS Study Program of the USU ECG during this evaluation. He expects the assessment process to go well and that the USU FKG PPDGS Study Program will be recognized as a top-accredited study program.

"As an examiner, I photograph the USU PPDGS FKG study program; ideally, the results will meet expectations, allowing it to become superior, prof. And hopefully, everything will go as planned. "Drg. Endang Wahyuningtyas, MS, Sp.Pros explained (K).

Meanwhile, Dr. Drg. Essie Octiara, Sp. KGA, Dean of the USU Faculty of Dentistry, indicated that the application for the PPDGS Prosthodontics Study Program of FKG USU would expire on March 15. Therefore the study program must renew its accreditation in this field assessment.

"The application deadline for the FKG USU prosthodontia specialized dentistry education study program is March 15, 2023. As a result, before the event concludes, the study program will be reaccredited, "Dr. Essie clarified.

In this regard, the administration form team of FKG USU's PPDGS Prosthodonsia Study Program has worked hard to provide the items required for the assessment procedure. As a result, the Dean of FKG USU is grateful and wishes the Prosthodontics PPDGS Study Program the best of luck.
