USU PR - In the framework of the Inauguration of the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FKM USU) 2022-2026, a Fun Walk was held to enliven it. The activity was held at the Universitas Sumatera Utara on Sunday (10/02/2022).

Chairperson of USU's FKM IKA who is also the Secretary of the Medan City Health Office, Edi Subroto, SKM, M.Kes. said, this Fun Walk activity is to nourish the academic community after the pandemic, and also to carry out health promotion at the same time.

"This is a series of inauguration of IKA FKM USU 2022-2026, one of which we take a healthy walk in the context of a grand reunion of all alumni who have fellow students and campus parties, in order to strengthen our relationship between alumni and campus, and alumni and students, hopefully this synergy can going well, in the future we hope this will be the strength of USU FKM to be even more successful," Edi said.

The head of USU IKA FKM said this activity was carried out with the aim of strengthening the relationship between alumni and campus, and alumni and students. He also hopes that the synergy between alumni and faculties can run well and in the future it is hoped that this can be a strength for USU FKM to continue to prosper.

"This fun walk actually provides an atmosphere after Covid so that we are healthier so that our health promotion can run while having a grand reunion," he explained.

The bureau head of the Indonesian Ministry of Health and the Acting Head (PLT) of the Head of the Indonesian Ministry of Health's Health Crisis Center who is also an alumni of USU's FKM, Dr. Sumarjaya, SKM, MM, M.Fp., CFA said that USU FKM alumni will take USU FKM students in a better direction, such as how to get job opportunities, improve abilities, and others. He also hopes that alumni and students can work hand in hand to face today's global world.

"As USU FKM alumni, I am very happy with this event that was made by USU FKM IKA, hopefully this can be established continuously and we as seniors will take our brothers and sisters in a better direction, how to get job opportunities , improve abilities, and others. We hope that we can work hand in hand with each other, we as seniors invite our younger siblings to be able to advance in facing today's globalized world," Dr. Sumarjaya said.

Dr. Sumarjaya advised to stay united and not only increase knowledge at FKM, but also in other places, because there are many opportunities for future work in the national and international arena.

"My message is to stay united, improve each other's abilities, increase knowledge not only in FKM, but also in other places, and there are many opportunities for future work, not only on the national and international level," he said. (©ULC)
