"We congratulate the USU IKA North Sumatra region who were inaugurated that the consolidation of USU alumni that we are currently doing is going according to what we planned and hoped for," the USU Rector said.

USU PR- Rector of the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si attended the inauguration of the board of the Universitas Sumatera Utara Alumni Association (IKA USU) North Sumatra Region for the period 2022-2026. The inauguration was combined with a National Seminar with the theme "Strengthening the Universitas Sumatera Utara through the Role of Alumni" which was held in the T. Rizal Nurdin Hall of the North Sumatra Governor's Office House on Monday, (10/03//2022).


The inauguration of the USU IKA for the North Sumatra Region for the 2022-2026 period, chaired by Dr. Ir. H. Tengku Erry Nuradi, M.Si was attended by the Governor of North Sumatra Edy Rahmayadi, and who represented the Chairman of the USU IKA Central Executive Romo HR Muhammad Syafi'i, SH, M.Hum, the deans, invited guests and others.


Meanwhile, the national seminar which aims to establish communication between alumni as a moment to share knowledge and experience, both information about the world outside the campus and internal campuses, also presented speakers from USU Vice Rector I, Dr. Edy Ikhsan, SH., MA, Director General of IKP Ministry of Communication and Informatics Dr. Usman Kansong, S.Sos., M.Si, and historian Drs. Wara Sinuhaji, M. Hum.


Rector of the Universitas Sumatera Utara Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si congratulated the inaugurated IKA USU for the North Sumatra region. With the consolidation of USU alumni and support, it is hoped that it will produce results, namely achieving international accreditation.


"We congratulate the USU IKA North Sumatra region who were inaugurated that the consolidation of USU alumni that we are currently doing is going according to what we planned and hoped for," the USU Rector said.


Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si added that the USU Back Home program which has been held to establish a network between alumni and USU will run smoothly. IKA USU is expected to remain compact, great, and victorious.


"Network between alumni and USU so that we can run the USU Back Home program well," the USU Rector added.


Vice Rector I Universitas Sumatera Utara Dr. Edy Ikhsan, SH., MA hopes that USU's IKA will always support the work programs of the Universitas Sumatera Utara, especially priority work programs such as internationalization, then optimizing practitioner lecturers who come from alumni to transform their knowledge. In the end, this cooperative relationship can be built in a sustainable manner.
