USU PR: On Monday (14/02/2023), Dr. Muryanto Amin S.Sos., M.Si, Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), held a general meeting from the Regional Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPID) of North Sumatra at the Rector's Audience Room, USU Central Administration Bureau Building.
This visit focused on USU and KPID North Sumatra's partnership in the age of digital disruption. MBKM internships and the development of courses aligned with the two schools' goals are among the programs planned for this relationship. Amalia Meutia, M.Psi., Psychologist, Head of USU's Public Relations, Promotion, and Protocol, presented this statement. The USU Rector also accompanied her.

Likewise, Anggia Ramadhan, Chairman of KPID North Sumatra, felt that this relationship was important considering the innovative technologies affecting the broadcasting business. To deal with this, KPID North Sumatra requires USU's assistance in developing superior human resources, as USU has a study program related to broadcasting. He believes that competent human resources can develop quality material that is captivating, educating, and valuable.
"Human resources are one of the things we need to develop to create high-quality content in the local broadcasting sector. KPID North Sumatra Chairman remarked, "The basis is human resources; if human resources are good, the content supplied by the broadcasting sector will be high quality."
Later, as a follow-up to the programs addressed at the meeting, USU and KPID North Sumatra will hold a Focus Group Discussion. Anggia Ramadhan expects the two institutions to work together in the long term to ensure the sustainability of the local broadcasting business.
"We aim for a long-term partnership. As the Rector stated, this partnership is not solely due to the commissioners' relationships with the Rector. Still, if we can develop institutional cooperation in the long term, "He further stated.
