USU PR - Secretary of the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) Prof. Dr. dr. Muhammad Fidel Ganis Siregar M.Ked(OG), Sp.OG(K) appreciated several achievements that have been obtained by work units within the University Secretariat and asked to continue to improve achievements. It was conveyed during the routine morning assembly at the USU Central Administration Bureau yard on Monday (30/05/2022).

In his remarks, the Secretary of USU said that the Unit of Public Relations, Protocol, and Promotion is one of the units that achieved the best over the past year. Those achievements led USU to win an award as an Informative Public Agency in the 2021 Public Information Openness Award for the Higher Education Category and the 2021 Diktiristek Public Relations Award.

In addition, USU's Head of Public Relations also won an award as the Most Popular Public Relations Person of PTN-BH 2021. Besides, USU's Public Relations also won two titles at the same time in the 2022 Indonesia Public Relations Awards (PRIA) event.

"The title obtained in the PRIA event is Bronze Winner for the Video Profile and Social Media categories," he said.

The work unit that got the next achievement was the USU Archives Service Office unit. The achievements of this unit include holding a national webinar that was attended by more than 900 participants and registered as members of the National Archives Information Network (SJIKN). Furthermore, in August 2022, the Archives Office will include 1 staff for Archive Digitization Technical Training from the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI).

"Furthermore, we also still have duties in Administration, namely in handling correspondence and general administration," he said.

The USU Secretary also advised that education personnel should work hard and smart in the era of disruption. According to him, the world will be more open and competitive in this era, where all changes take place very quickly and without tolerance.

"I hope that the education workforce will continue to improve their competencies and abilities with the various changes in the world of work," he said.
