USU 2023 Pitching Competition Workshop by Puspresma USU

USU PR - The Center for Student Achievement of Universitas Sumatera Utara (Puspresma USU) held a Pitching Competition workshop in 2023. The activity took place at Mikie Wijaya Hall, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) USU, on Tuesday (12/09/2023).
Pitching Competition USU 2023 is an event for USU students as participants, who will be allowed to present their business ideas, projects, products, or services to a panel of judges or potential investors.
On this occasion, Dr. Ir. Emmy Harso Kardhinata M.Sc as the Chairperson of Puspresma USU expressed her hope that all participants could attend this workshop with enthusiasm, so that they could understand the requirements and conditions needed in submitting proposals, to participate in the upcoming competition.
"We hope that all of you can follow this workshop so that the proposals submitted are by the requirements in participating in the competition," Dr. Emmy hoped for the workshop participants.
Dr. Emmy Harso Kardhinata M.Sc also explained that this competition is an annual program for USU entrepreneurship students. The difference is, that this year it targets the recruitment of students who already have a business, that has been running for at least 6 months. So that they get support in business development.
"This is an entrepreneurship student program that is held annually by USU, to recruit students to become entrepreneurs," explained Dr. Emmy.
Furthermore, Dr. Ir. Emmy Harso Kardhinata M.Sc stated that after the participants succeed in getting financial support from USU, the students will also be mentored according to the steps that have been set.
"The next step is if they have been financed by USU, then they will be mentored," said Dr. Emmy.
Head of the USU Innovation Research Development Agency Buchari, ST, M.Kes, IPM as a resource person who presented material on business ethics, detailed the important points of this workshop. First, participants will learn about pitching, including the standards and requirements for participating in pitching competitions. Until they enter the Innovation Research Development Agency (BPRI) to get coaching.
"I also taught business ethics, so how they can do business ethically and be consistent between words and actions," Buchari explained.
Finally, Buchari, ST, M.Kes, IPM hopes that the participants can become strong and outstanding entrepreneurs, who will bring the good name of USU, and contribute to the improvement of Main Performance Indicator (IKU) 1 at USU.
"Of course, I hope they can become tough and great entrepreneurs so that they can make USU proud," hoped Buchari.
