USU Hosted The Coordination Meeting for BKS PTN West Region
The Rector of USU said that the coordination meeting which will take place for three days, from August 25 to 27, is a forum for friendship that can be used to evaluate and reactivation in the field of social sciences, as well as develop a program of cooperation that can be realized in the form of collaboration between the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences in West PTN BKS Region.
PR USU - Unversitas Sumatera Utara (USU) hosted the coordination meeting of the West Region PTN BKS for Social Sciences. The event was opened by USU Rector Dr. Muryanto Amin S.Sos., M.Si as Deputy Chair of the Western Region PTN BKS at the Santika Premiere Dyandra Hotel, Thursday night (8/25/2022).
The Rector of USU said that the coordination meeting which will take place for three days, from August 25 to 27, is a forum for friendship that can be used to evaluate and reactivation in the field of social sciences, as well as develop a program of cooperation that can be realized in the form of collaboration between the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences in West PTN BKS Region.
"The coordination meeting that we are holding for the next three days is a medium of friendship that we must use properly to evaluate and reactivation in the field of social sciences," Muryanto Amin said.
According to the Rector, in this coordination meeting, faculties play a role in carrying out tasks to fulfill the assessment of the Main Performance Indicators (IKU), World Class University, especially indicators in social sciences. "To fulfill the KPI, World Class University must fulfill many indicators, especially for social sciences," he said.
Dean of USU Fisip, Dr. Hatta Ridho S.Sos., MSP explained that the main agenda at the meeting was to determine a new chair specifically for social science for the next two years, then formulate a work program and form a work team tasked with monitoring the achievements and cooperation between BKS PTN.
"Formulating a work program to even form a work team to monitor the achievements of increasing cooperation among PTNs," Hatta Ridho said.
Some of the things that were evaluated by USU FISIP at this meeting were cooperation in the MBKM field, then conducting student exchanges, lecturer exchanges, and joint research for World Class University assessments.
Dr. Hatta Ridho S.Sos., MSP hopes that the coordination meeting will run smoothly and produce a concept that can be implemented to improve previous achievements.
Some of the PTN that are members of the PTN BKS include USU, IPB, UNSYIAH, UNSRI, UPN VETERANS, Malikussaleh University, UR, Univ Teuku Umar, and others. (©ULC)
