Humas USU - Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) has successfully maintained the title of "Informative" Public Agency this year in the Keterbukaan Informasi Publik (Public Information Disclosure) Award, which is the highest predicate given to public agencies in an effort to present open public information and documentation.

USU Rector Dr. Muryanto Amin, SSos, MSi accompanied by Head of the Public Relations, Promotion and Protocol Bureau Amalia Meutia, MPsi, Psikolog said that the value of USU's informative predicate increased from the previous year after receiving the award in Jakarta.

"Last year, we got 91.29, while this year's score is 95.08. As a public institution, USU is obliged to provide clear information to the public through various channels that USU has provided," said Muryanto Amin when receiving the 2022 Public Agency KIP of Public Agency M&E Award at Atria Gading Hotel, Serpong Tangerang. Wednesday (14/12/2022).

The Rector explained that the awarding of KIP Award to USU as an informative institution strengthens the commitment of the Information and Documentation Management Officer and Public Relations of USU to continue to improve its services and governance.

"The KIP award is an expression of appreciation for USU, who has carried out its obligations to provide information to the public. In the coming year, we hope that the score will be better and maximized," he said.

Head of the Office of Public Relations, Promotion and Protocol Amalia Meutia, MPsi, Psychologist explained that for the past two years, USU had won the award as an Informative Public Agency from the National Commission of Information.

"This proves that USU has implemented transparency and accountability through public information disclosure in each of our programs and activities," she said.

Amalia said, this achievement was of course due to the support of the leaders and the cooperation of USU's academic community. "(This) cannot be separated from the hard work of USU Public Relations Team through the Documentation Information Management Officer as the manager and conveyer of documents owned by USU," she said.

The 2022 Public Agency KIP Monitoring and Evaluation Award itself was directly handed over by the Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD on behalf of Indonesian Vice President Ma'ruf Amin. The Head of M&E of KIP Handoko Agung Saputro said that there was a significant increase in the implementation of the 2022 M&E Award, because there were 122 Public Agencies that succeeded in being informative according to the seven categories of Public Agencies.

Meanwhile, the Best Informative Public Agency 2022 was achieved by the Central Java Provincial Government, KPU, the Ministry of Agriculture, BPKP, KAI and Malang State University.
