KMK USU Student Activity Unit Service
Service at the KMK USU Student Activity Unit is not just a tradition but a reflection of our identity as dedicated Christian students. Held regularly, usually at Universitas Sumatera Utara, such as at the PEMA USU Secretariat in semester A, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM Western Indonesia Time, this activity attracts the attention of many students. In one documented event, there were 192 individuals in attendance, with 103 of them present physically, while the rest joined through digital platforms: 13 through YouTube and 76 via Zoom.
KMK USU Student Activity Unit Vision Transfer 2023
One of our important missions at the KMK USU Student Activity Unit is to prepare a resilient and highly dedicated generation of successors. Through the vision transfer activities, we nurture Christian students to become leaders within small groups consisting of 3–8 members. In these groups, participants study the Word of God, pray together, and share their spiritual and life experiences. The Universitas Sumatera Utara Pancasila Building serves as a witness and the location of our latest activity, which was attended by 157 participants.
KMK USU Student Activity Unit Prayer Hours 2023
As a spiritual stronghold, the prayer hour at the KMK USU Student Activity Unit is an important moment where we gather to pray for the success and stability of our ministry. With the theme "The Philosophy of Student Ministry," this event was held at the Global Mission House, Bunga Teratai Street, Padang Bulan, Medan, which also serves as a fellowship house for KMK USU Student Activity Unit alumni and students. This event, which took place from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Western Indonesia Time, successfully brought together 119 participants to actively participate.
KMK USU Student Activity Unit Semester Program Evaluations
The KMK USU Student Activity Unit regularly conducts semester program evaluations. This evaluation is carried out with the goal of reviewing and evaluating whether the implemented work programs are still effective for future implementation. In addition, this evaluation also aims to assess the officials' performance and the work programs' effectiveness during one semester. This event is attended by various parties to receive diverse criticisms and suggestions useful for improving the KMK USU Student Activity Unit services in the future. This activity is a USU-wide program, so it is attended by various components or members of KMK, especially those who are still students, as well as alumni. Even though the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on the activities of this student activity unit, the officials succeeded in bringing about positive changes. KMK USU members also expressed that there had been an increase in attendance at services coordinated by the KMK officials, who became the forerunners of KMK USU members. Now, the officials are also getting even more creative by utilizing social media to continue preaching.
