Faculty of Public Health Receives 3 Excellent Accreditation
The Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Sumatera Utara, has just received Excellent Accreditation for 3 study programs: Undergraduate Program in Public Health, Master’s Program in Public Health Science, and Doctoral Program in Public Health Science.
USU-PR: The Faculty of Public Health (Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat/ FKM), Universitas Sumatera Utara, has received Excellent Accreditation for 3 study programs. Namely for the Undergraduate Program in Public Health, Master’s Program in Public Health Science, and Doctoral Programs in Public Health Science
The Dean of the USU Faculty of Public Health, Prof. Dr. Dra. Ida Yustina, M.Si, said she was very grateful for the results obtained by the three study programs.

"This is all the result of the hard work done by the FKM USU community to get the expected results. This superior accreditation spurs the work of the FKM USU community to achieve its vision of becoming an international standard Faculty. With this achievement, FKM will continue to improve its quality in carrying out the Tridharma of higher education," said Prof Ida.
Undergraduate Program in Public Health was accredited on 29 to 31 May 2023 and declared “Excellent” on 9 June 2023, valid until 9 June 2028. At the same time, the Master’s Program in Public Health Science was accredited on 5-7 June 2023 and declared “Excellent” on 7 July 2023, valid until 07 July 2028. The Doctoral Program in Public Health Science was accredited on 12 to 14 June 2023 and declared excellent on 7 July 2023, valid until 7 July 2028.
The Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Sumatera Utara was established in 1993. The faculty has two undergraduate programs, one master's, and one doctoral program. FKM focuses on studying the prevention and treatment of disease in individuals and provides practical and interactive learning. Managed by a group of experienced individuals in the field of public health with the support of adequate facilities and an integrated curriculum, the Dean of FKM hopes that students are supporting to carry out the vision and mission of forming a new generation of global health leaders who’s capable of generating solid ideas. Not only making scientific breakthroughs but also working to improve the lives and health of people in Indonesia. (RJ)
