Monitoring USU Student Exchange Activities to UiTM

Student exchange activities have started in March 2023 and will end in August 2023.

USU PR - Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) and Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) have signed a memorandum of understanding to carry out cooperation in the fields of education, research, and community service. This activity was marked by sending 38 USU students from the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Engineering, and Faculty of Social and Political Sciences to study for one semester at Universiti Teknologi Mara Shah Alam, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Student exchange activities have started in March 2023 and will end in August 2023.

The International Directorate through the Head of the International Affairs Office (KUI) (Dr. Rudy Sofyan, S.S., M.Hum) together with the Vice Dean 1 of Faculty of Law (Dr. Agusmidah, S.H., M.Hum, Vice Dean 1 of FT (Prof. Dr. Ir. Renita Manurung MT), and Vice Dean 1 of FISIP (Husni Thamrin, S.Sos., MSP) visited to review and evaluate the implementation of this activity on May 23, 2023. The USU delegation was received by the Vice Rector of UiTM Prof. Datuk Dr. HajahRoziah Mohd Janor who was accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ing Masria Mustafa (Head of International Student Development (ISD) Department of International Affairs (DIA) UiTM Global, Prof. Ts. Dr. Haryano Haron (Dean of Faculty of Computer Science, Informatics and Media), Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohammad Noorman Masrek (Vice Dean for Research and Innovation) and other leaders at Al-Ghazali Council Building Al-Khawarizmi Complex Kolej Pengkajian Pengkomputeran, Informatik dan Media (KPPIM). During the meeting, more intense communication was established to expand and develop other academic cooperation. The activity ended with a visit to several UiTM facilities such as UFM (Radio UiTM), Makmal Security Operation Center, Makmal Cisco 17, and Big Data Laboratory, which manages the center of cybersecurity and has been utilized by Malaysia.
