USU - Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) received a visitation from the Oral and Maxillofacial College Visitation Committee of FKG USU at the Nazir Alwi-FKG USU Room on Monday (11/12/2023).

USU Rector Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin S.Sos MSi stated that this activity is a necessary step to ensure that the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Program at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Sumatera Utara, is ready to carry out operational and educational service activities and meets the eligibility standards applied to new study programs.

The Rector hopes that through this visitation activity, the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Program will receive the best results and assessments and be deemed eligible to admit new students. The best assessment of this activity also greatly influences the interest of prospective students in continuing their education in this program so that they can produce competent, professional graduates ready to contribute to the health of the community and the field of dentistry as a whole.

"We hope that through this visitation, we can get good recommendations so that this program can be opened and operate according to its duties and responsibilities. Hopefully, there are no obstacles in conducting visitation by these visitors," said the Rector.

One of the visitor teams, drg. Muhammad Ruslin, M.Kes, Ph.D., Sp.BMM, Subsp. Ortog nat-D (K) conveyed that the crucial point of this visitation is to provide recommendations, and he is very optimistic that this new study program can be opened. He hopes this will be the initial momentum for the smooth operation of this program.

FKG Dean Dr.drg., Essie Octiara, Sp.KGA. added that the important breakthrough to be carried out in the future is that the ongoing visitation will issue a good recommendation and will open the program.
