USU and NED University Agree to Begin Cooperation
During the courtesy visit, USU and NED University of Engineering and Technology agreed to initiate collaboration in education, research, and other academic joint projects. This includes joint supervision, publications, conferences, and summer course programs.
HUMAS USU - A delegation from the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), led by Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Hasibuan, S.Si, M.Si, Apt, Vice Rector for Research, Community Service, and Cooperation, visited the NED University of Engineering and Technology Campus on May 29, 2023. The delegation was accompanied by Dr. June Kuncoro Hadiningrat, the Indonesian Consul General in Karachi, Pakistan.
The USU delegation received a warm welcome from Prof. Dr. Sarosh Hashmat Lodi, the Vice Rector of NED University of Engineering and Technology, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tufail, and other university officials at the Vice Rector's Office in Karachi City, Sindh, Pakistan.
Along with Vice Rector III, the USU delegation included Dr. Edy Ikhsan, SH, MA, Vice Rector I for Academic, Student Affairs, and Alumni, Dr. Cut Fatimah Zuhra, S.Si., M.Si, Vice Dean I of FMIPA, and Dr. Rudy Sofyan, SS, M.Hum, Head of the International Affairs Office.

In his speech, Prof. Sarosh emphasized the importance of collaboration to improve the reputation and internationalization program of both universities. He stated that collaboration is necessary for progress and that without it, there may come a time when collaboration becomes a necessity.
Vice Rector III of USU expressed gratitude for the opportunity and expressed hope that the collaboration would bring meaningful progress to the Universitas Sumatera Utara.
