The Young Entrepreneur Appreciation is a prestigious annual event initiated by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in commemoration of Youth Pledge Day (HSP). This activity aims to inspire many young people to take steps in the world of entrepreneurship, in order to advance the nation in the future, as expected by the Assistant Deputy for Youth Entrepreneurship of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Hendro Wicaksono.
The WMP 2024 Appreciation was attended by finalists from seven individual categories, namely Creativepreneur, Technopreneur, Sociopreneur, Religiopreneur, Edupreneur, and Agropreneur.
One of USU's students named Yedija Pratama Muham from the Faculty of Information Technology USU managed to emerge as the first winner in the Creative Entrepreneur category at the WMP Appreciation. This award was successfully obtained by Yedija after going through a series of processes, starting from the selection on October 14-15. It is known that there were hundreds of applicants who were then filtered into only 50 finalists to be able to advance to the final judging session.
In the final judging session, Yedija and other participants will make presentations and conduct questions and answers with the judges. This aims to test the finalists' ability to explain their business and product benefits in an interesting way. The judges included H. Muhammad Nur Purnamasari, Member of Commission X of the House of Representatives, experienced entrepreneurial practitioner Najib Wahab, and Dr. Ilyas Indra, Vice Chairman of AP2LI.
