PR USU - Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) hosted the Capacity Building of Asian HEI Staff Training in the Erasmus+ Master Degree in Indonesian 4.0 program. The event is in collaboration with several countries such as Malaysia, Cambodia, Greece, Italy and Indonesia. Meanwhile, USU is one of the representatives from Indonesia. The activity took place at the Central Administration Bureau Building, pepper Monday (7/18/2022).
Vice Rector IV for Information, Planning, and Development USU Prof. Dr. Drs. Opim Salim Sitompul, M.Sc said that every Erasmus program or higher education capacity building program involves cooperation between Asian and European countries so that there is a transfer of experience, knowledge, and education from European countries to Asian countries, and it is also hoped that this program can continue to completion so that USU is ready to build a master's study program in electrical engineering to support the industrial sector.

USU's Erasmus+ Master Degree In Indonesian 4.0 Program Coordinator Emerson Pascawira Sinulingga said that the purpose of this collaboration was to establish a master's program in Industry 4.0 in Indonesia, one of which was USU.
This program combines various technology sectors with manufacturing, agriculture and health so as to meet USU's 2020-2024 Strategic Planning (Renstra) target and USU has laboratory facilities that meet the needs of industry 4.0.
On the same occasion, the Head of the Capacity Building Training Program for Asian HEI Staff, Dr. Arturo Lavalle said that with this collaboration, training would be shown for Asian partners so that Asian partners could gain knowledge that could be implemented in their respective environments.
Meanwhile, the Erasmus+ Master Degree In Indonesian 4.0 Associate Program Coordinator Prof. Dr. Margaret Chan Kit Yok said that the Erasmus+ program was in line with USU's second phase of strategic planning (Renstra) so that Eramus Plus could help USU complete its work program, particularly in campus internationalization.
