USU Qualifies 40 Teams for PKM 2024

USU PR — The Directorate of Student Achievements and Alumni Relations of Universitas Sumatera Utara (Ditmawalumni USU) conducted the initial coordination for the Student Creativity Program (PKM) teams in 2024. This coordination took place at Mikie Wijaya Hall on Tuesday (Apr. 23).
This year, USU has received 40 proposals that have successfully secured funding. The coordination was carried out with the aim of preparing for the 37th National Student Scientific Program (PIMNAS), which will be held at Universitas Airlangga at the end of the year.
Dr. Edy Ikhsan, S.H., M.A., Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Alumni of USU, mentioned that this year, USU aims for gold medals in all competition categories.
"We still aim for gold. The competition at PIMNAS is very tight, and many evaluation variables determine whether a group can achieve gold," said Vice Rector I.
Vice Rector I added that this year, USU has strengthened its performance and strategy by adding 5 national reviewers who are experts in their fields.

Furthermore, Rahma Yurliani, S.Psi., M.Psi., as the Director of Student Achievements and Alumni Relations (Ditmawalumni), stated that they will continue to support the students participating in PKM. She also added that this year has seen an increase in participation, with 12 faculties, each sending their students.
"Almost 12 faculties are involved, and the number of teams that have secured funding varies," she added.
