General facilities at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) are designed to support various needs of students and staff, create a comfortable and productive campus environment, and support academic, social, and recreational activities.

Some examples of these general facilities are: USU Library which is the center of academic resources with a complete collection of books and journals, comfortable reading rooms, and computer facilities to support study and research; USU Language Center which offers various language learning services, including courses and training programs to help students develop their foreign language skills; and Pancasila Building which serves as a multipurpose building that is often used for official events, seminars, and student organization activities.

With these various facilities, USU strives to create an environment that supports a balance between academic activities and social life, helping students achieve academic success and personal development.
