FEB USU Management Summer Course Participated 12 Countries

USU PR - The Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) is again organizing a Summer Course Program. After last year's success with the theme "Young Generation Personal Financial Management", this year continues with the title "Social Media Marketing to Build Brand Awareness". It took place online and offline at Prof. Dr. Soehadji Hadibroto Hall FEB USU, Tuesday (22/08/2023).
This Summer Course activity was attended by 125 participants from 12 different countries and was attended directly by 5 students from abroad. Among them, 2 people came from Malaysia; 2 people came from Palestine; and 1 person came from Bangladesh.
Vice Rector III for Research, Community Service, and USU Cooperation Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, M.Si., Apt in her remarks representing USU Rector Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si stated that this activity was a matter of pride and honor for USU, especially in advancing internationalization efforts.

Dean of FEB USU Dr. Fadli, SE, MSi hopes that the organization of the second Summer Course by the Management Study Program of FEB USU can facilitate the emergence of innovative ideas, both among speakers and summer course participants. Thus, it can support the vision and mission of the university to achieve the target of World Class University.
"This Summer Course activity is an annual activity that is expected to continue to be carried out to support the vision and mission of the university, in a step towards a world-class university," hoped Dr. Fadli.
In line with that, Deputy Dean II FEB USU Inneke Qamariah SE., M.Si. also hopes that this Summer Course program will become a sustainable program, accompanied by an increase in global participation in the future. Because it will have a positive impact in encouraging the growth of universities globally.
"Hopefully every year it will be sustainable and more and more participants will come from various countries to achieve World Class University," said Inneke.
Therefore, the Head of the Management Study Program Dr. Khaira Amalia Fachrudin SE., MBA explained that through this program the participants will be professionally trained by International Photographers. To be able to analyze, evaluate, and promote tourism works through social media. This will be realized through a visit to Tangkahan, North Sumatra.
"By participating in this activity, students will gain knowledge about promotion through social media. They will go to Tangkahan to improve their knowledge and soft skills," explained Dr. Khaira.
