USU PR - Vice Rector III for Research, Community Service, and Cooperation of the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Si., Apt. led the implementation of routine morning apples in the courtyard of the USU Central Administration Bureau Building on Monday (01/15/2024).

The activity was attended by all work units under the leadership of Vice Rector III, namely the Bureau of Research, Community Service, and Cooperation consisting of the Cooperation Section, International Affairs Office, Research and Community Service Section, and sub-sections in the fields involved.

In her mandate, Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Si., Apt. emphasized the implementation and achievement of the USU leadership priority program and the work program within the USU Vice Rector III. One of them is realizing internationalization and increasing achievements in the World Class University (WCU) ranking.

“This year is the 4th year of the leadership period of USU Rector Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos, M.Si. We are required to be more optimal in fixing all the shortcomings,” said Prof. Poppy.

Becoming an international standard university requires cooperation in mobilizing all potential to be developed. Therefore, Vice Rector III also highlighted the importance of curriculum preparation, quality of human resources, expansion of cooperation networks, collaboration and synergy with various parties oriented towards international contexts and goals, as well as rapid response and adaptation.

“I hope that the spirit, performance, and performance of all of us in the year will continue to increase, which will also have an impact on the achievement of the targets that have been set,” said Prof. Poppy.

Through the tagline Transformation Towards the Ultimate, Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Si., Apt. is optimistic that the tagline will become a guide to provide the best dedication for the progress of USU. It will also be a meeting point for the vision and goals of the USU Research, Community Service, and Cooperation work units and the academic community to work and move in the same corridor.

“We have all been united by the Transformation Towards the Ultimate tagline, which is a mantra as well as work motivation to provide the best dedication for USU,” said Prof. Poppy.

Finally, Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Si., Apt. explained that the strategic plan that will support efforts to achieve their performance targets is to change the mindset to hard and smart work, and full commitment to the progress of the university should be applied as sincere devotion in all situations.

“In general, our strategy is to change the mindset. Not only the officials but also the employees need to be able to work smartly and sincerely to achieve IKU,” explained Prof. Poppy.
