USU PR- Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) warmly welcomed the working visit of the Chair, Secretary, and Members of the Board of Trustees of Diponegoro University (UNDIP) for the purpose of Benchmarking Educational Hospital Management. 

The event took place in Prof. Dr. Chairuddin P. Lubis USU Hospital Hall on the IV Floor on Wednesday (12/20/2023).

This visit to Prof. dr. Chairuddin P. Lubis USU Educational Hospital is a primary focus of the UNDIP Benchmarking activity, serving as a medium for discussions about the management of Educational Hospitals and how to maximize opportunities to improve healthcare services to the community.

USU Secretary Prof. Dr. dr. Muhammad Fidel Ganis Siregar, M. Ked., (OG), Sp. OG (K)- FER briefly spoke about the history of Prof. dr. Chairuddin P. Lubis USU Hospital, previously known as USU Educational Hospital. Starting from its establishment in 2003, and within less than a year of operation, USU Hospital received full accreditation from the Hospital Accreditation Commission (KARS).

“From this history, it means that for an educational hospital, we always strive to be the best in the government's assessment,” stated Prof. Fidel.

Furthermore, Prof. Dr. dr. Muhammad Fidel Ganis Siregar, M. Ked (OG), Sp. OG (K)- FER expressed his hope that this activity would provide the desired information and input for the Chair and all members of MWA UNDIP regarding the management of Educational Hospitals and USU.

Simultaneously, USU MWA Secretary Prof. dr. Guslihan Dasa Tjipta, Sp. A (K) expressed his respect for MWA UNDIP’'s visit. This activity is expected to contribute positively to hospital management and the development of educational quality at both universities. Through sharing experiences and information, a synergy is expected to be created through ongoing collaboration.

“We extend our thanks and welcome to the Board of Trustees of Diponegoro University. It is an honor for us to receive this visit,” welcomed Prof. Guslihan.

Vice Chair of MWA UNDIP, Prof. Dr. Yusriadi, S. H, M.S., expressed their enthusiasm for learning about USU's best practices and successes in managing the hospital. This visit is also part of efforts to improve healthcare services and the development of science at the university level.

“I am very grateful for the reception of our visit. The purpose of our visit is to learn about the management of the hospital at USU,” explained Prof. Yusriadi.
