USU PR - The Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU) successfully signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with PT Musim Mas Group, which will result in the renovation of a courtroom for use by various law departments. The event took place at the International Classroom Year 98 FH USU on Friday, (27/09/2024).

Vice Rector V of USU, Dr. Ir. Luhut Sihombing, M.P., in his speech expressed his pleasure with this activity. He hopes that the renovation, which includes classrooms, gardens, and bathrooms at FH USU, can be carried out holistically. Vice Rector V emphasized the importance of mutual cooperation between the faculty and PT Musim Mas to improve budget management.

“I am very happy to see this cooperation being carried out directly at the faculty level. This comprehensive renovation is expected to improve the quality of learning and provide comfort for the FH USU academic community,” said Vice Rector V.

On the same occasion, Commissioner of PT Musim Mas, Erlina, emphasized that the purpose of the MoA was to follow up on the audience with the rector and hoped that the renovation could be completed within four months, providing comfort and improving the spirit of learning at FH USU. She added that PT Musim Mas is committed to contributing to the education sector for the betterment of North Sumatra.

“We hope that the renovation can be completed within the next four months. With better facilities, we are sure that students' learning spirit will increase,” said Erlina.

Dean of FH USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, SH, M.Hum, expressed his gratitude for the implementation of this renovation project. According to him, this is good news for FH USU, especially students, because it has been waiting for a long time. In the future, this renovation will provide a more conducive learning atmosphere for FH USU students.

“This renovation is good news for the entire academic community of FH USU, especially students. We hope this cooperation can be an example for other educational institutions,” said the Dean of FH USU.

Andri Taher, Recruitment Corporate Manager of PT Musim Mas Group, added that this collaboration is a form of the company's commitment to advancing education in North Sumatra. Andri also hopes that this collaboration can inspire other parties to contribute to advancing education.

“We want to contribute to improving the quality of education in this area. Hopefully, this renovation can motivate FH USU students to achieve higher achievements,” said Andri.

Prof. Dr. Ningrum Natasya Sirait SH, Head of FH USU's Doctoral Study Program, also felt very grateful for PT Musim Mas' support. She revealed that this collaboration shows PT Musim Mas' concern for education and hopes that this renovation can have a positive impact, especially for the development of FH USU.

“This collaboration with PT Musim Mas is a form of positive synergy between the business world and education. We hope that this renovation can be a new milestone for FH USU,” explained Prof. Ningrum.
