USU PR - The Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a ceremony to commemorate the Pancasila Kesaktian Day in the front yard of the Rectorate Building on Tuesday (01/10/2024). The event, which was attended by the academic community, became a momentum to reflect on the values of Pancasila amid the challenges faced by the nation.

Pancasila Kesaktian Day is a momentum to rise and recover after facing various challenges. It also reminds us that since its birth, Pancasila has been the foundation of the state and ideology of the Indonesian nation.

The commemoration of Pancasila Kesaktian Day is a good opportunity to reflect on the steps that need to be taken in building a more resilient Indonesia in the future. Balance in sustainable development, which not only prioritizes the end result, but also pays attention to the preservation of nature and the potential of human resources.

Meanwhile, the University Secretary, Prof. Dr. dr. Muhammad Fidel Ganis Siregar, M.Ked(OG), Sp.OG(K)-Fer, stated that the entire USU academic community must interpret Pancasila as the basis of life. He explained that as an academic community, all parties must further explore that Pancasila is the basis of every action and decision, both for leaders, students, and all parties involved.
